Tahatai School is located in the seaside community of Papamoa on New Zealands East coast.

This designer built school has been developed by Babbage architects and incorporates Precast Structure to provide longevity, endurance and cost effective construction for many generations to follow.

Leveraging the full benefits of the precast allowed the School to benefit through state of the art structural and architectural concrete refinement of the new 2 level classroom block.

Monarc's Oyster 0010 wall panels were manufactured and Diamond Brushed. Further decorative relief was created to breakup the mass of exposed area by Moanrc Cutting slab block pattern directly from the structural wall. The pattern adds balance to proportion and a sense of solidity and designer flair to the structural form of the building.

With Monarc's absolute precision, ability, delineation, combined with laser perfection creates a seamless continuity of bands to the wrapping and continual walls within the structure.

Concrete provides many advantages to the school minimising the risk of Fire, Increasing longevity of building use and purpose, It provided ease and speed of construction reducing some onsite costs and risks for the constructors. IN term of life consideration Tahatai Coast school have built  a smart building with intelligent consideration and evaluation of materials design and function for a successful foundation of their future.
